Bio
Maite Melero is a senior researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where she leads the Machine Translation group. She has worked at the Universitat de Barcelona, the Institut d'Estudis Catalans, the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the Barcelona Media Innovation Centre and Microsoft Research. In 2017 she co-authored the report "Language equality in the digital age" for the European Parliament and is frequently invited to discuss technology and preservation of linguistic diversity.
