Ari is a principal research scientist in Oracle Labs East, where he is focused on building machine learning (ML) models that help developers find and fix software issues more efficiently. Ari is broadly interested in ML and especially in studying how computational tools鈥搃n particular, those that are powered by ML鈥揷an be used safely, and to promote social good. Before Oracle, Ari completed his Ph.D. at UMass Amherst under the supervision of Andrew McCallum. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from Tufts University and has worked as a researcher at MIT Lincoln Laboratory building intelligent decision support systems. Ari spent the summers of 2014 and 2016 interning at Google.
