About the Course

Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes is the third course in a certificate program that will equip you with the skills you need to apply to entry-level jobs in user experience (UX) design. In this course, you鈥檒l continue to design a mobile app for your professional UX portfolio. You鈥檒l start by creating storyboards and getting familiar with the basics of drawing. Then, you'll create paper wireframes and digital wireframes using the design tool Figma. You鈥檒l also create a paper prototype and a digital low-fidelity prototype in Figma. Current UX designers and researchers at Google will serve as your instructors, and you will complete hands-on activities that simulate real-world UX design scenarios. Learners who complete the courses in this certificate program should be equipped to apply for entry-level jobs as UX designers. By the end of this course, you will be able to: - Develop a goal statement. - Create two types of storyboards: big picture and close-up. - Understand the difference between low-fidelity and high-fidelity design. - Apply the basics of drawing. - Apply the principles of information architecture to organize a mobile app. - Create paper wireframes for a mobile app design. - Develop digital wireframes in the design tool Figma. - Build a paper prototype to add interactivity to designs. - Design a low-fidelity prototype in Figma. - Recognize implicit bias and deceptive patterns in design. - Continue to design a mobile app to include in your professional portfolio. To be successful in this course, you should complete the previous two courses in this certificate program, or have an ability to conduct user research to inform the creation of empathy maps, personas, user stories, user journey maps, problem statements, and value propositions. You will also need paper and a pen or pencil....

Fun and practical course on wireframing and prototyping in Figma. Found it easy to follow, well explained and useful. I wireframed an entire app and prototyped it. A needed skill in UX design.

G鈥媜od course with proper instructors and information. The thing to improve is the volumn in each clip. I found that some are pretty loud and some are low which provides a not-so-good user experience.

Figma is a terrible program. I am a graphic designer that uses a lot of the adobe applications, and for me, Figma was not user friendly. It took me a very long time to complete simple wireframes for the prototype. I don't understand why Figma has multiple unecessary steps for something that should be one step. For example: When you click on the make a square button, you would think after creating a square it would stay on that button, well no it doesn't. It went back to the cursor. I was clicking so many times through out making my project, it was mind numbing. Please use a different program, anything else.

I'm concerned with this course's practice quiz and exam question wording. There are basic grammar mistakes and the questions themselves are confusing, borderline frustrating. I hope someone will revisit this section to fix at minimum the grammar but also have an adult reread the questions so that they are concise and clear.

learned a lot, content is great but there are some huge problems with synchronisation of the app on mobile and desktop, I completed the third course of wireframing but I can't see my certificate, frustrating, a dealbreaker for me if problems persist

I don't get the low-fidelity design tutorial, this course just a repetition. And why persona, user story etc should in this course? I think the course should focus on how to craft a low-fidelity design.

ok, boring. The further along you go into the course, the more tediously boring it gets. They make you learn a lot of useless things that are part of the job, but not the most important. You're basically learning office etiquette with a few things of UX/UI design. Parts of the UI design are just so drawn out that they focus on one module on sketching wireframes, and good god, it's a waste of my time and money. YouTube University will teach you more UI/UX design than this class.
