I am happy to have taken this course and it has allowed me to gain a further understanding of the topics. It really provides the basics of the American democratic system and the role of various actors. It also teaches students how to be a participant in the democracy. However, the questioning of established practices and diversity of standpoints does is only present to a very limited extent. For example, the idea of objective news was introduced without mentioning that a huge debate exists on whether objective news is possible as everything is written by humans. It is probably because this is not the aim of the course, but it's good to realise this beforehand. Otherwise, the course serves as a good basis to further one's understanding of the US democratic system. Overall, good work! Thank you to everyone who has made this possible.
