This course opened a new window for me. Before this course, I was unfamiliar with power queries, but by the aid of this course, I can leverage power queries to make better dashboards.

An excellent course in learning about the concepts of ETL in the data analysis process. The concepts are well explained and the hands-on activities in the Power BI desktop and Power BI service environments are very useful. I would have liked to have an opportunity to load in other data sources from the wide range of supported connectors (other than Excel and .csv files) but hopefully that will come later. Some of the exercises stop a little short of actually doing the transformation steps themselves (e.g. the section on query parameters didn't cover the important step of how you actually embed the parameter into the query itself so as to apply the parameter when running the query. This needs to be done through the Advanced Editor, something I learnt how to do from a helpful online tutorial from another source). The global options section is out of date with later versions of Power BI desktop, so of very limited use. I also had difficulties with connecting to the suggested SQL server with access restrictions, and there was no available support to respond to my course queries online. Updating the curriculum to address these aspects would make the learner experience that much better.

I've gained a clear, deeper, and in-depth knowledge in the whole ETL process using the real power of the inbuilt Power Query tool in Power BI. This course is well-designed for beginners and intermediate level, it would add more value if the instructor guided some advanced topic and dived deeper into query parameters, modifying M code inside the Advanced Editor, connecting to different databases and cloud services(Data Warehouse/One Lake). However the instructor's explanation was quite good and straight forward. Excited to move forward in this program which is "Data Modeling". Can't wait, Woo!!!

The Excel and Transformation modules were very interesting and informative. The course was structured well and provided relevant insights to the role of a Data Analyst. Videos were delivered in short format and were easy to understand. I would have liked to see perhaps more complex examples of topics and greater opportunities to implement the content, to truly embed the learning. Overall, 4/5. Would recommend to someone getting started with the world of Data.

Great instructional course. Minor difficulties following exercises as some instructions are a bit confusing and there are minor differences between instructions and current Power BI configuration. On the other hand, I imagine that data analysts face greater difficulties when performing their work and to that extent the minor difficulties encountered can be viewed as a different training dimension.

Very useful if you are a beginer managing data onto PBI. The tools and explanations went hand to hand to ensure you can understand what you are doing. However is very theorical, in some sections is tedious, and some chapters as M language or DAX are barely explained. Not an advanced course for programers or developers in advanced ETLs.

Content is good and examples are sufficient to convey the relevant ideas. I think the course duration can be shortened by removing the repeated "business sell" for why Power BI is a must for data analysts. It might be okay the first time, but having the same message repeated in almost every video is really not necessary.

Focus a little more on examples and hand-on exercises rather than ultra specific definitions or concepts. Some questions are false just because on one word.
